Kuwait Stock Exchange, KSE back to trading…


The Kuwait Stock Exchange is back to trading today by a court decision.Kuwait’s stock exchange was forced to close last week also by the court decision after traders brought a case against the government, demanding that it intervene to halt the bourse’s dramatic decline. Recent reports showed that the performance of the market has plunged down to more than 30 %.


The Kuwait Investment Authority, the country’s sovereign wealth fund, has also ploughed several hundred million dollars into the stock market in a bid to stem its decline.However, the bourse has continued its downward trend prompting protests by disgruntled investors, some of whom have been demanding that the government resign.
